About King Island
King Island is located in Bass Strait between Victoria and Tasmania, only a short flight from Melbourne or Launceston. The population of the island is around 1,700.
King Island has beautiful beaches as well as three golf courses, two of which are ranked among the best in the world. The island is now a popular destination for groups of golfers.
Apart from the golf courses there is much more to explore: unspoilt nature, great food, art & culture, history, shipwrecks, bays and beaches.
Most people would have come across the beautiful produce – dairy, seafood and beef being the main delicacies that you can enjoy while visiting the island.
A few practical tips: There is no public transport on the island. Our tours will generally include transportation, however there are also two hire car companies that have a presence at the airport. Phone reception is limited to Telstra phones.
